 چون در جوامع کنونی، موضوع معالجه با گیاهان طبی کم و بیش مطرح است و در هر جامعه، افراد خیلی زیادی به معالجه با داروهای گیاهی علاقه دارند و از طرفی تبلیغات قوی و دایمی مؤسسات سازندۀ داروهای شیمیایی باعث شده است که این داروها هواخواهان زیادی، مخصوصاً در بین آقایان اطبا و داروسازان پیدا کنند، بنابراین، از اوایل قرن بیستم تاکنون یک بحث و جدال تمام نشدنی در کلیۀ کشورهای اروپا و آمریکا بین طرفداران داروهای گیاهی و داروهای مصنوعی ساخت لابراتوارها وجود داشته است و همین طور، ادامه دارد ولی روی هم رفته، می توان گفت تمایلات طبیعی و فطری مردم در کشورهای متمدن کنونی بیش تر به طرف داروهای گیاهی است و دلیل آن را می توان از روی تبلیغات مختلف دریافت و این آگهی ها نشان می دهد که مؤسسات دارویی، اخیراً، برای ترویج فرآورده های خود، تسلیم تمایلات عمومی می شوند و عین گیاهان طبی را با هم مخلوط می کنند و به معرض فروش می گذارند. در عین حال، عدۀ زیادی از اطبا، به کلی، منکر خاصیت و اثر مفید در گیاه ها بوده و سخت پایبند و علاقمند به داروهای سنتتیک و اسپسیالیته های مختلف هستند و معتقدان به داروهای گیاهی را مسخره می کنند. به عقیدۀ ما این هر دو دسته از روی تعصب سخن می گویند و راه افراط و تفریط، جز ضرر، نتیجۀ دیگری برای بیماران ندارد.
بهترین راه به نظر ما این است: عده ای از داروهای ساخت اروپا و آمریکا بسیار خوب است و باید حتماً آن ها را نگه داشت ولی عدۀ خیلی زیادی هم از داروهای کنونی که همه جا و در کلیۀ کشورهای جهان رواج دارد دارای ضررهایی است. منتها، زیان بعضی از آن ها کم و ضرر بعضی فوق العاده زیاد است، ضررهای مربوط را استادان دانشکده های پزشکی و محققان عالی مقام اروپا و آمریکا با تحقیقات و تجربیات طولانی خود دریافته و در کتاب ها و مجلات طبی منعکس کرده اند که ما در هر مورد، به گفته های آنان استناد می کنیم.
ولی از یک طرف، انس و عادت عمومی به تجویز این داروهای شیمیایی و از طرف دیگر، تبلیغات قوی مؤسسات سازنده داروها مانع می شود که ضرر داروهای مزبور علنی شود. ما می کوشیم با دلایل قانع کننده، این داروهای مضر را به جامعه بشناسانیم و به جای هر کدام از آن ها، یک داروی گیاهی و ارزان قیمت که متعلق به کشور خود ما باشد معرفی می کنیم. هدف ما این است که از این راه به هم میهنان عزیز خدمتی کنیم، مال و جان مردم را حفظ کنیم ولی برای حصول مقصود و وصول به این هدف مقدس باید تمام پزشکان و داروسازان کشور دست به دست یکدیگر داده و هم فکری و تشریک مساعی کنند و همگی، متفقاً، در راه این هدف مشترک گام بردارند والاّ اگر یکی دو نفر یا چند نفر از اطبا موافق بوده و بقیه توجهی به این مسئلۀ حیاتی و مهم برای کشور نکنند، داروهای مفید مزبور رواج نخواهد یافت و نتیجۀ مطلوب حاصل نخواهد شد. از طرف دیگر خود مردم هم باید جداً، در این باره کمک کنند. کمک مردم این است که اگر پزشک یک نسخه برای بیمار تجویز کرد که از مواد گیاهی و عصاره های آن ها ترکیب شده و داروخانه باید آن را بسازد و به دست مریض بدهد، بیمار نباید از قبول دارو به بهانۀ اینکه ساخت وطن است خودداری کند زیرا متأسفانه کراراً دیده شده است که مردم به پزشک معالج اصرار می کنند، از نوشتن نسخۀ ترکیبی خودداری و داروهای ساخت اروپا و آمریکا را تجویز کند و کمتر کسی خبر دارد که ریشۀ این تبلیغات سوء علیه داروسازان ایران و کمی اعتماد مردم به آنان، از فعالیت های تبلیغاتی بیگانگان و بیگانه پرستان آب می خورند که برای رواج داروها و پر کردن جیب خارجی ها دست داروسازان ایرانی را مدتی است به کلی بسته و هنر و فن داروسازی خود را به معنی واقعی عاطل و باطل گذارده و داروخانه ها را تبدیل به محل فروش یک مشت داروهای خارجی کرده اند.
به هر حال، سخن کوتاه کنم، ما همان طور که گفتیم؛ سعی می کنیم، به مرور، به جای یک داروی مضر شیمیایی یک داروی مفید گیاهی معرفی کنیم.
نقش اشق در درمان آسم
پیش از این از دربارۀ ضررهای آدرنالین و افدرین، در بیماری آسم بحث کردیم و گفتیم که طبق تحقیقات والری رادو و برانسون، که هر دو استاد دانشکدۀ پزشکی و عضو آکادمی طب کشور فرانسه هستند، ضرر این داروها بیش از نفع آن ها است؛ زیرا تکرار استعمال آن ها استعداد بروز حملات بعدی آسم را شدت می دهد و دورۀ مرض را طولانی و ایجاد عوارض و خطر می کند، به همین جهت، تلفات آسم، اخیراً بر اثر رواج بی اندازه زیاد این داروها، رو به فزونی گذاشته است. آیا اقوال و تحقیقات این دانشمندان قابل قبول نیست و ما نباید آن ها را بپذیریم؟
از طرف دیگر، به دلایل متعدد ثابت کردیم، گوم آمونیاک(اشق) یک داروی مفید برای معالجۀ آسم و برونشیت مزمن تشخیص داده شده که تشنج عضلات حلقوی برنشیول ها را رفع کرده و ورم مخاط مجاری تنفسی را از بین برده و به این ترتیب، راه ورود و خروج هوا را به داخل ریه سهل می کند و مخصوصاً اخلاط لزج و چسبنده را رقیق کرده و به سهولت از سینه دفع می کند که این آثار و خواص برای معالجه تنگی نفس آسم کمال مطلوب است.
خوشبختانه، چنان که ثابت کردیم بهترین نوع گوم آمونیاک و ده ها داروی دیگر نظیر آن برای معالجۀ آسم در ایران وجود داشته و هم اکنون از کشور ما به فرانسه، آلمان، انگلستان و سایر جاها صادر می شود و برای معالجۀ بیماران مبتلا به آسم به مار می رود. آیا خود ما نباید از این محصول طبیعی کشور خود استفاده کنیم و نباید این صمغ طبی را به جای آن داروهای مضر به کار بریم؟ تصور نمی کنم کسی مخالف این امر باشد.
مقدار خوراک و طرز استعمال گوم آمونیاک (اشق) در آسم
اینک مقدار خوراک و طرز استعمال گوم آمونیاک را برای استفاده همکاران محترم ذکر می کنم: گوم آمونیاک در آب حل نمی شود ولی اگر آن را در سرکۀ تند الکل حرارت دهیم، به تدریج، حل خواهد شد.
مقدار خوراک آن برای اشخاص بالغ، در یک شبانه روز به طور متوسط، 2 گرم است که به دفعات میل کنند.
میکستور اشق معمولِ داروسازی لندن:
اشق یک و چهاردهم اونس
شربت تلو چهار فلوئیددرم
آب مقطر هفت و نیم فلوئید اونس
ابتدا اشق را با کمی آب در هاون چینی مخلوط کرده، می کوبند. سپس بقیۀ آب مقطر و شربت را به تدریج، مخلوط نموده و آن قدر می سایند تا مثل شیر شود. سپس با پارچه صاف می کنند. این مخلوط را در داروسازی لندن به نام شیرآمونیاک می نامند، آن را در داروخانه ساخته شده نگاه می دارند و موقع نسخه پیچی از آن استفاده می کنند. در حملات آسم، معادل 1 فلوئید اونس که مطابق با 18 سانتی متر مکعب است در شبانه روز می توان تجویز کرد.
اینک، یک نسخۀ مفید معمول داروسازی لندن جهت معالجۀ برونشیت مزمن، برای خارج کردن بلغم چسبنده و لزج که به زحمت خارج می شود:

این مقدار دارو برای یک خوراک است، هر شش ساعت یک خوراک میل کنند. هم چنین در انگلستان، اشق را در فرمول پیاز عنصر مرکب به کار می برند که در التهابات و نزلۀ مزمن مجاری تنفس خیلی کاربرد دارد.
اینک یک نسخه هم از اشق، معمولِ داروسازی آلمان ذکر می شود:
اشق 15 گرم
عرق زوفا (Hysope) 180 گرم
مخلوط کرده، بیفزایند:
آستات دامونیاک مایع 30 گرم
قدمه 60 گرم
هر دو ساعت یک قاشق آش خوری در برنشیت مزمن و آسم تجویز می کنند.
نظیر این نسخه ها را قدما نیز تجویز می کرده اند و جالب توجه است که در انگلستان به طوری که در نسخۀ بالا پیداست، معمولاً انیسون (Anis) و در آلمان معمولاً زوفا (Hysope) توأم با اشق تجویز می شود و اگر به کتب طب قدیم ایران مراجعه کنیم خواهیم دید آن ها نیز انیسون و زوفا را توأم با اشق توصیه کرده اند.
از کلیۀ پزشکان کشور تقاضا می شود که برای اطمینان از تأثیر مفید گوم آمونیاک (اشق) در بیماران مبتلا به تنگ نفسِ آسم و برونشیت مزمن در چند نفر بیمار به جای قرص ها و شربت ها و سایر داروهایی که محتوی افدرین و داروهای مشابه آن هستند، از گوم آمونیاک(اشق) طبق نسخه هایی که در بالا ذکر شد استفاده فرمایند. اگر تأثیر آن ها را از هر حیث بهتر و مفیدتر دیدند تجویز آن ها را ادامه دهند زیرا به این ترتیب، هم بیماران از ضررهای آدرنالین و افدرین مصون می مانند و هم داروی مفید و مؤثری به بهای دست کم ده برابر کمتر به دست آنان می رسد و هم با تهیۀ این دارو در خود ایران، تا اندازه ای از خروج ارز از کشور جلوگیری به عمل می آید و مطمئناً، از این راه کم کم یکی از بزرگ ترین خدمت ها برای کشور و ملت ایران به دست آقایان پزشکان انجام خواهد گرفت. ضمناً توجه پزشکان را به این نکته جلب می کنیم، چنان که قبلاً گفتیم، هم اکنون در فرانسه، آلمان و انگلستان از همین صمغ طبی برای معالجۀ آسم و برونشیت مزمن استفاده می کنند و صمغ مزبور همه ساله از ایران به آن کشورها صادر می شود.
ناگفته نماند که گیاهان طبی دیگری نیز موجود است که از ترکیب آن ها با یک دیگر یا با گوم آمونیاک داروی مؤثرتری برای معالجۀ تنگ نفسِ آسم به دست می آید و ما بعداً این داروها را معرفی خواهیم کرد.
کورتون یا آستات کورتیزون
کورتون یا آستات یکی از ترکیبات هورمونی قسمت پوستی غدد فوق کلیوی است. در سال 1946 لابراتوار مِرکِ آمریکا موفق شد. این ماده را به طور مصنوعی از اسیدهای صفراوی تهیه کند. چون دانشمندان پس از مطالعات زیاد دریافته بودند که در مبتلایان به رماتیسم، پوسته غدد فوق کلیوی ضخیم شده و کم و بیش از کار می افتد، لذا در سال 1947، یعنی، درست 10 سال پیش، هنچ دانشمند معروف و همکارانش، کورتیزون را در اقسام مختلف رماتیسم استعمال کردند. این دارو، به زودی، شهرت جهانی یافت و هزاران پزشک در اروپا، آمریکا و سایر نقاط جهان آن را برای درمان انواع رماتیسم و بعضی بیماری های دیگر به کار بردند.
در چندین سال اخیر، آن قدر مقاله و رساله دربارۀ کورتیزون و اثرات درمان بخش آن در جراید و مجلات طبی دنیا انتشار یافته است که به حساب نمی آید. اکثر این مقالات جنبۀ تبلیغاتی و بسیاری نیز جنبۀ تحقیقاتی داشته است ولی چون به تدریج ضررهای زیادی از این دارو در بیماران دیده می شد، بنابراین از چند سال پیش به این طرف، کم کم مقالاتی دربارۀ ضررهای آن، از طرف دانشمندان در جراید و مجلات طبی درج شد و سخنرانی های متعددی نیز در این زمینه ایراد شد چنان که یک پزشک آمریکایی، دو سال قبل، در تهران، طی یک سخنرانی مهیجی اظهار کرد: «اخیراً، بعضی از بیماران که مبتلا به بیماری های ساده بوده اند معالجات جدید در آن ها مؤثر واقع نشده و فوت کرده اند. در کالبدشکافی معلوم شد که غدد فوق کلیوی آن ها به واسطۀ اینکه(به علت ابتلا به بیماری های دیگری) مدتی تحت درمان با کورتیزون قرار گرفته بودند، کوچک شده و از کار افتاده است» و این را باید ننگ پزشکی قرن بیستم دانست که بیماران از یک بیماری ساده و خفیف و قابل درمان تلف شوند و نیز دکتر موزو آمریکایی در جلسۀ مباحثۀ طبی و جراحی قشون آمریکا، مورخ 17 مارس 1956، سخنرانی مفصلی راجع به زیان بعضی داروهای جدید و از جمله کورتیزون و داروهای مشابه آن ایراد کرده که آقای دکتر ابوتراب نفیسی با استفاده از آن سخنرانی و نیز با تهیۀ مدارکی از جدیدترین مجلات طبی، مقالۀ مفصلی در مجلۀ «پزشکی و جراحی ایران»، شماره 6، آذر و دی 1336، نوشته که فقط ده صفحه از آن دربارۀ ضررهای کورتیزون و اختلالات و عوارض ناشی از تجویز آن است.
ولی چون کورتیزون یک داروی بسیار گران قیمت بوده و مؤسسات سازنده آن استفاده های هنگفتی از شهرت و رواج آن برده و می برند، لذا مؤسسات مزبور از مشاهده مقالات انتقادی، سخت به جنب و جوش افتاده، به چاره جویی برخاستند و چند تن از اطبای مشهور را نیز راضی کردند که در مقالات یا سخنرانی های خود کورتیزون را در ردیف داروهای معجزه آسای نوین قلمداد کرده و ضررهای آن را نادیده بگیرند و یا چنان به حساب نیاورند. در یکی از این سخنرانی ها، فیلمی هم نشان داده شده که در آغاز آن، چهارده نفر بیمار مبتلا به رماتیسم مزمن، از ورم مفاصل رنج برده و قادر نبوده بدون تحمل درد و رنج قدمی بردارند، در صحنه های بعدی فیلم نشان داده می شد که چگونه همان بیماران بر اثر معالجه، کارهای مختلف را انجام می دادند بدون اینکه کوچک ترین نشانی از درد و رنج و ناراحتی در قیافه شان ظاهر باشد و نیز در اوراق تبلیغاتی، عکس دست هایی را چاپ کرده بودند که بر اثر رماتیسم مزمن، مفاصل آن ها متورم و انگشتان، کج و معوج شده بود و پس از آن در عکس های دیگر همان دست ها را نشان داده بودند که بر اثر معالجه با کورتیزون به کلی، بهبود یافته و انگشتان به حال طبیعی برگشته بود. این آرا و عقاید ضد و نقیض در مقالات و سخنرانی ها، هرج و مرجی در امور پزشکی ایجاد کرده و باعث سرگردانی و بلاتکلیفی اطبا شد و معتقدانی له و علیه کورتیزون در همه جای دنیا پیدا شد.
تحقیقات دقیق شورای تفحصات طبی انگلستان: چون مشاهدات بالینی و تجسسات طبی که منفرداً و جدا از یکدیگر توسط بعضی از اطبّا به عمل آمده بود، نمی توانست برای عامه پزشکان ملاک عمل باشد و رسمیت قانونی بین المللی پیدا کند لذا از سال 1951 به این طرف، شورای تفحصات طبی انگلستان با تشریک مساعی مؤسسه معروف نوفیلد برای پی بردن به اثرات واقعی کورتیزون و مخصوصاً مقایسه بین آثار این دارو و اثرات آسپرین در معالجه و رماتیسم حاد و مزمن، دست به یک رشته تحقیقات خیلی دقیق، طولانی و اساسی زد. شورای مزبور کارهای خود را در شش مرکز تفحصات بالینی تحت شرایط کاملاً مساوی به موقع اجرا گذشته و نتایج آن را منتشر ساخت.
برای انجام این منظور افرادی بین 2 تا 59 ساله که اقلاً چهار مفصل آن ها از سه الی نه ماه قبل به رماتیسم مبتلا شده بود انتخاب شد و کمال دقت به عمل آمد که این بیماران به هیچ بیماری جز رماتیسم مبتلا نباشد. آن گاه، یک دسته از این بیماران را فقط با کورتیزون و دسته دیگر را فقط با آسپرین معالجه کرده و به هیچ وجه داروی دیگری برای آن ها، در تمام مدت درمان، تجویز نکردند و برای اینکه هیچ گونه عامل روحی در معالجه این بیماران دخالت نداشته باشد، داروهای تجویز شده را به نام داروهای ضد رماتیسم A وC نامیدند. قرص های آسپرین را به رنگ قهوه ای درآورده و ماده تلخی به آن افزودند تا بیماران تصور نکنند به آن ها فقط آسپرین داده می شود. به این ترتیب، یک دسته از بیماران را مدت سه ماه به وسیلۀ کورتیزون و دسته دیگر را مدت سه ماه با آسپرین معالجه کردند. کلیه این بیماران در جریان مدت یک ماه در بیمارستان بستری بوده و دو ماه در خارج از بیمارستان بستری بوده و دو ماه در خارج از بیمارستان تحت نظر بودند، به طوری که روی هم رفته مدت سه ماه مشغول درمان بودند.
چون کلیه بیماران در هر یک از دو گروه در شرایط کاملاً مساوی قرار گرفته بودند، بنابراین، طبق موازین علمی نتایج را می توانستند با یکدیگر مقایسه کنند لذا پس از ختم این عملیات، بیماران مزبور را از نظر قوای بدنی، حرکت دست ها و پاها و تغییرات خونی مورد آزمایش قرار داده و با کمال حیرت مشاهده کردند که آسپرین از حیث تأثیر و فایده کاملاً معادل با کورتیزون بوده ولی ضررهای کورتیزون را ندارد.
مجلۀ طبی انگلیسی در این باره صریحاً چنین نوشت: «حقیقتاً، جای خوش وقتی است که می بینیم نتیجه عملی تحقیقات عدیده ای که طی سال های اخیر دربارۀ کورتیزون انجام گرفته به این نتیجه رسیده است که کشف کرده اند آسپرین، بهترین و مطمئن ترین دارو برای معالجه رماتیسم مفصلی حاد است». پس از این تفحصات و تجسسات طبی، آسپرین که تا آن زمان یک داروی ساده به شمار رفته و برای تسکین سردرد و یا دندان درد تجویز می شد، مقام و منزلت عالی تر در عالم پزشکی پیدا کرد و موارد استعمال آن در امراض مختلف روزافزون شد به طوری که، کم کم در نقرس، سنگ کلیه، برنشیت، ورم لوزتین، سینوزیت و کلیۀ بیماری های نسج همبند، داروی معالج محسوب می شد و با تمام داروهای نویافته لاف برابری و رقابت می زد و حتی از نظر اینکه قیمت آن بسیار ارزان است بر کلیه داروهای نوین ترجیح و برتری دارد.
ناگفته نماند که قبل از این تحقیقات که آسپرین فقط به عنوان مسکن و ضددرد به کار می رفت، آمریکایی ها روزی 42 میلیون از آن را مصرف می کردند و امروزه نیز به همین اندازه برای رفع سردرد مصرف می شود و آن را به اشکال و رنگ های مختلف به معرض فروش می گذارند تا بیش تر نظر مردم را جلب کند (مانند انواع شیرینی). یعنی برای اطفال آسپرین را به شکل حیوانات تهیه کرده اند که مورد پسند آن ها واقع شود و با وجود این که برای 60 میلیون نفوس آمریکا روزی 42 میلیون قرص آسپیرین مصرف می شود، با این همه، آمریکایی ها همیشه از درد نیمه سر ناله دارند.
پس از اینکه گزارش شورای تحقیقات طبی انگلستان مبنی بر رحجان و مزیت آسپرین بر کورتیزون برای معالجۀ رماتیسم منتشر شد، تمام اطبای دنیا برای معالجۀ بیماران مبتلا به رماتیسم همان عملیات را تکرار کرده و به همان نتیجه رسیدند و در اکثر روزنامه ها و مجلات طبی و غیرطبی، نتیجه تجسسات آن ها درج شد، من جمله در روزنامه اطلاعات، شماره 3894، مورخه 1335/5/17 می نویسد:
«معالجۀ التهاب مفصل: دکتر فرانک هارت در کنگرۀ بین المللی رماتیسم که در تورنتو(کانادا) منعقد شد، گفت که آسپرین بهترین داروی معالجه التهاب مفاصل بدن انسان است. وی برای اثبات نظریه خود اضافه کرد که در سه سال گذشته یک صد نفر مریض را بدین ترتیب، معالجه کرده که برای نصف آن ها کورتیزون و برای نصف دیگر آسپرین تجویز کرده است و در نتیجه، ثابت شد که آسپرین همان اثرات کورتیزون را دارد با این فرق که خطرات احتمالی کورتیزون در آسپرین نیست».
اکنون که بر خوانندگان عزیز معلوم شد طبق تحقیقات علمی انگلستان آسپیرین برای معالجۀ رماتیسم از هر حیث برای کورتیزون ترجیح دارد و اطبای آمریکا نیز این مطلب را پذیرفته و به آن عمل می کنند و آسپیرین موارد استعمال متعددی در طب پیدا کرده و روز به روز، بر شهرت و معروفیتش افزوده می شود:
ما سؤال می کنیم آیا در تمام کشور ایران برای نمونه حتی یک طبیب پیدا می شود که در رماتیسم حاد و مزمن به جای کورتیزون، آسپرین تجویز کند؟ بدون شک، جواب این سؤال منفی است و هیچ پزشکی تاکنون، چنین عملی را انجام نداده است. چرا؟ برای اینکه نمایندگان دارویی با تبلیغات قوی و شدید خود ابتکار عملیات پزشکی را کاملاً به دست گرفته و موضوع معالجۀ بیماری ها را به صورت مُد روز درآورده اند. از یک طرف اطبا را با اوراق تبلیغاتی خود تحت تأثیر قرار می دهند و از طرف دیگر افکار عمومی را چنان به خود مشغول کرده اند که همه می گویند دارو هر چه جدیدتر بهتر، داروهای دیروزی به درد نمی خورد، باید هر روز، داروی تازه تری را برای معالجه بیماری ها به دست آورد، آسپرین دیگر کهنه و قدیمی شده است و نمی تواند در مقابل کورتیزون عرض اندام کند، باید آن را دور انداخت و کورتیزون مصرف نمود و اگر کسی این کار را نکند او را به کلی، بی اطلاع از جریان روز و بی خبر از جدیدترین اکتشافات پزشکی می دانند. این طرز تفکر و این قبیل اظهار عقاید مسلّماً از طرف مؤسسات و کارخانه های دارویی سرچشمه می گیرد، زیرا هدف اصلی آن ها این است که می خواهند دایماً بشر را با تبلیغات فریبندۀ خود اغفال کنند، داروهای خود را به فروش برسانند و چون متأسفانه به واسطۀ عدم فرصت کافی نمی توانند تحقیقات دقیقی برای تهیۀ یک داروی جدید به عمل آورند، لذا اغلب این داروها، مضر واقع شده و پس از اینکه ضرر آن ها معلوم شد، بلافاصله رنگ آن ها را عوض کرده، اسم جدیدی روی آن می گذارند و تبلیغات نوینی دربارۀ آن معمول می دارند و به نام یک داروی تازه کشف شده وارد بازار می کنند. مثلاً، همین که همه جا از کورتیزون بدگویی شد، آن را با تغییرات مختصری به صورت دلتاکورتریل درمی آورند و چون ضررهای کورتیزون، اکنون بر همه کس معلوم شده است و مؤسسات دارویی نیز نمی توانند آن را انکار کنند، لذا ناچار در ورقه دلتاکورتریل می نویسند: «عوارض نامطلوبی که معمولاً در درمان با کورتیزون پیش می آید در دلتاکورتریل به حداقل تقلیل می یابد» و مدتی هم اطبا را با این دارو سرگرم می کنند.
کسی که این حقایق را می نویسد، مسلّماً مورد اعتراض مؤسسات دارویی قرار خواهد گرفت چنان که پس از انتشار اولین مقاله از سلسله مقالات «بیماری هایی که پیشرفت های جدید پزشکی برای بشر به ارمغان آورده است»، به آقای دکتر ابوتراب نفیسی، نویسندۀ مقالات مزبور، هم اعتراض کردند ولی برای خیر و صلاح جامعه و در پیشگاه منافع عمومی نباید از اعتراض ترسید، باید حقایق را صریحاً گفت و همه جا منتشر کرد. جای کمال تأسف است که عده ای از پزشکان نیز در مقابل داروهای جدید تعصب خاص به خرج داده و به قول همکار محترم ما آقای دکتر نفیسی «خیلی خوش باور بوده به محض ورود هر داروی جدید و معرفی آن به وسیلۀ نماینده ها، فوراً به تجویز آن مبادرت می جویند».
ما باید این مسئله را حل کنیم که چرا برای آسپیرین که از نظر خواص و منافع مسلّماً بر کورتیزون ترجیح دارد هیچ گونه تبلیغاتی به عمل نمی آید ولی برای کورتیزون و داروهای مشابه آن به عمل می آید، مثلاً، فیلمی با مخارج گزاف تهیه می کنند، شخص افلیجی را نشان می دهند که با خوردن کورتیزون دست و پای او به حرکت درآمده و از نردبان به سرعت بالا می رود و در رقص ها شرکت می جوید و نیز از دست و پای کج و معوجی عکس برداری می کنند و پس از معالجه با کورتیزون انگشت ها را راست و مستقیم نشان می دهد. آیا علت این امر جز این است که اولاً قیمت هر دانه قرص آسپرین یک ریال است و ثانیاً همۀ مؤسسات آن را می سازند و آن قدر بهره برای سازندگان ندارد که ارزش تبلیغ کردن داشته باشد ولی قرص کورتیزون هر دانه اش 20 ریال به فروش می رود و ساختن آن در انحصار مؤسسات محدودی است که سالی میلیون ها تومان استفاده از فروش آن می برند و به این جهت، هر قدر سنگ آن را به سینه بزنند و تبلیغ در اطراف آن کنند باز هم صرف می کند.
موقع آن رسیده است که مردم با این حقایق آشنا شوند تا زمینه برای افشای حقایق گران بهاتری آماده شده باشد و به این هرج و مرج پزشکی و دارویی خاتمه داده شود و جان و مال مردم، دست خوش یغماگری عده ای استفاده جو قرار نگیرد.
